Nordstrom Anchorage is CLOSED: We want your Cosmetics + Personal Care Products Business
Tessie + Austen at Nordstrom ANchorage the last weekend of business! *Tears*
Listen, we are all legit in mourning over Nordstrom’s decision to shut down their Anchorage location. I’ve always called Nordstrom as a whole “The Mothership” (thank you, Janet Burts!) and the Anchorage location “My Second Home.”
My mother, Cath, worked at Nordstrom pretty much my entire childhood with I, myself, starting to work there the day after my sixteenth birthday aka as soon as I possibly could! I continued to work at Nordstrom throughout high school, got my “dream job” of working at MAC when I was eighteen, had a corporate internship with them post-college, worked my way to management in Cosmetics, and ending my career with Nords styling the store with Visual Merchandising. I loved working with Nordstrom and understand the great loss of not having the retail location in our town.
I hear the cries of “where are we going to shop now?” I have suggestions for each department I will be dropping in the near future but this post is strictly dedicated to Cosmetics + Personal Care Products. I’m not even shameless about this —- I’m promoting myself and the business I run alongside an incredible group of colleagues with BEAUTYCOUNTER!

WHAT (is Beautycounter?): Beautycounter is a cosmetics and personal care brand out of Santa Monica, CA founded in 2013. Beautycounter’s MISSION is getting safer products into the hands of everyone! BC has banned over 1,500 potentially harmful ingredients (found on their never list of items not used in any of their products!
Beautycounter is a certified B Corp* meaning they “consider people, planet, and profits equally. We use the power of business to help to solve social and environmental problems by voluntarily meeting higher standards of transparency, accountability, and performance.”*
Beautycounter Consultants also are advocates for #BetterBeauty laws in the United States - constantly working with Beautycounter and their Better Beauty Coalition. I personally got to go to Washington, D.C. in 2018 with Beautycounter with 99 other Consultant Advocates where we lead over 100 legislative meetings advocating for the Personal Care Products Safety Act. The trip was one of the most exhilarating and empowering events of my life, securing my passion and gratitude for working with Beautycounter!

Myself along with any of the Consultants on our squad can host a One-on-One Consultation with you or bring the party to you and YOUR crew via a Pop-Up! Pop-Ups are super simple but fun and fabulous events with no pressure sales. At the brick and mortar locations you are able to shop under myself or any Consultant simply by letting the shop associates know you are a Client (or Band of Beauty Member) with Tess Weaver!
